Couldn't believe I didn't get out of bed until 1230... ! but I did. I laid there for a while, so it wasn't that I needed all that sleep... I needed the rest. I proceeded to read a good portion of Jane Eyre for the rest of the day, getting a lunch at a Greek cafe, and dinner at Panera Bread in Liberty Station, as I read on a bench near the little inlet where the shore birds hunt and play. There is even a bit of a beach access, where you can walk on the bit of sand to look at the hundreds of oysters, mussels and barnacles and overturn rocks to find scattering crabs. I had a ball.
