Am I Nuts?

Just finished watching the 3-part PBS series "Carrier", produced last year (thanks for the recommendation, James!).

Yeah, that looks like it is an entirely crazy life. But I think I'm still into this. The worst of it is how they describe it as a large high school. That sounds terrifying. And I certainly would be worried about fitting in with anyone, but I suppose the place is made up of all kinds.

Just fired an email off to the person who runs the unofficial site for the rate I'm interested in. Maybe they'll get back to me with some helpful advice... (hopefully). I am totally second-guessing requesting an aircraft carrier assignment, though. :) People in the rate I want can get stationed anywhere.
